"We put energy into circulation: the challenges of the circular economy" is the title of the 11th edition of the Energy Week. An edition that is also characterized by its particular location, as part of the initiatives of the Italian Presidency of EUSALP, to underline the many thematic synergies and harmony between the two events.
The transition to a circular economy model, where re-use, recycling and waste reduction are the basis of a re-generation of value, is now a recognized need. The goal of the 2019 Energy Week is to understand where we are, to identify what the open challenges are and what the possible solutions, with this paradigm tailored to our companies and their supply chains.
The inaugural event aims to present this particular perspective of reading the theme of the circular economy and introduce the programming of the entire Energy Week, ideally continuing the dialogue started in the previous editions.
Before the official opening, the docufilm "A Plastic Ocean" will be screened for stundents belonging to lower and upper secondary schools, followed by the presentation of the homonymous Multimedia Competition, with the aim of stimulating new generations of students reflections on the "sustainability" dimension of the Circular Economy, also in coherence with what the European Union is doing, in the fight against plastic consumption.
